Batman Returns Build Thread
...Or rather assembly I should say. I procastinated putting my returns suit together and I have a convention next week so it's crunch time and I'm documenting it all here.
First step: glue. This is the best thing I could find at home depot, what do you guys think, will it work? I'm going to be gluing elastic straps to the urethane pieces.
I'm going to post a diagram of everything I'm planning to do later.

Re: Batman Returns Build Thread
Here's what the strapping system will look like. I think I'll attach the cape with velcro sewn into the cape, and the other piece of velcro glued onto the torso.

Re: Batman Returns Build Thread
That's not anything to worry about- Clearly it was a little too snug. Trim the edges neatly and glue as is. The split will make it easier to get it on and off.

Re: Batman Returns Build Thread
sorry to see it ripped but its not really a bad thing even when i mounted my personal costumes for the 89 and returns due to it being sculpted as a 1 piece i always slit the back of the legs for an easier and more precise mount.

Re: Batman Returns Build Thread
Thanks guys. I was going to put straps on my armour but I decided I'm just going to glue it down to the undersuit, it will be so much easier in the end.

Re: Batman Returns Build Thread
It doesn't look like I'll get this suit done in time for the convention, unless I find a way to glue the armour down by myself, which I'm sure is highly unadvised. I'll still get it done as soon as I can though.

Re: Batman Returns Build Thread
I wouldn't advise doing it yourself.
Get a friend to help you, it is not as difficult as some might make you believe just take your time and think about where you are placing the pieces before you commit to sticking them.
You are off to a good start you have a nice set of armour just wait and get some help.
Maybe there is a BotB member local to you that could help??
