Re: Sonar Build Progress.

Got in my fancy new Sonar cowl from Jamie

Image

He also knocked it out of the park on a custom-color belt. Once I finally get the stupid legs mounted I'll show you guys the belt.

Here's a question I would like some thoughts on: Functioning cape clips (screen-accurate) or an 8-panel under-the-cowl cape? I'm leaning towards an 8-panel but would like to hear your opinions.

It's looking great, I love the cowl. I do like the accurate cape clips look, is the other way easier? Or I'm curious to know why you're leaning the other way? I'm sure that either way it'll look great!

I'm thinking about an 8-panel for a few reasons. Mainly because would cover a few flaws in the shoulders and the biceps. But now I'm also nervous about screwing up installing the clips to the armor lol.

I think I'm starting to convince myself. I've just never seen a Sonar with an 8-panel so I don't really know how it'll turnout.

That's a good idea, now I'm curious to see how the 8 panel will look too. Either way the sonar suit is pretty rad!

It's coming along nicely. Finally got the cod piece attached and was able to see how the belt Jamie made for me would look. It looks incredible imo. I got in my latex from Monstermakers and I'll be finishing up my cape next Monday. I decided to stop at 6 panels lol, 8 just seemed a little much with this suit. Idk.

Now to mount the legs and cape clips..

I need to shave.

The belt looks incredible, and the cape size looks great - good call on that! Nice progress so far bud!

Thanks a lot! I just got done rolling the second coat of latex on the cape. I'm hoping to have that beast done this weekend. I've gotta say, it's been a lot of fun putting this thing together.
