Light Sabers: Now with Pictures

Hi all, we were trying to do something fun for Star Wars so I made 15 light sabers. Due to a bad back problem and an arthritic hip those plans fell through. However, just making the sabers and seeing the kids faces light up made up for the other,

FB Page.

I got the inspiration from ]Raw Kustoms

And this guy ]Xieng Prod

His instructions on soldering were a little clearer.

I'll try to answer any questions you have.

This last picture is about a week before SW 8 opened. Sabers made for my grand kids and niece and nephews.

Re: Light Sabers

I thought I would go ahead and post a little more.

My Grandson showing off a helmet I made for a friend. My friend will paint it himself.

Don't be afraid, it's only a helmet.

That's me. I made the helmet because theaters don't want patrons wearing masks in theaters. The helmet is in the Samurai style, or as close as I could get it. It's floor mat and craft foam, glued with contact cement and hot glue. Thought it came out really well for something that was only made for one night out.

More Pics later if you want. Enjoy.

Go make something. :wink

I got the idea from Raw Kustoms but I didn't like how flimsy the blade was. I got the blades for mine from the Custom Saber Shop.

You can get some wiring ideas there, from Raw Kustoms and from Xieng Prod.

The brighter the flash light the better the blade looks. For kids playing in the yard these are a good deal. They don't fall apart and the blades don't bend or break.

Lets see what you come up with. You have any questions let me know.
