TDKR Cape attachment

Hey all, about to start working on my cape and attaching it to a UDR Jacket. Interested to see close up pics, or "how to's" on how you've done your capes. Velcro, cut through jacket, magnets???

I wish I could help there but I never got one of the UD jackets. I do remember some guys cutting through the jackets though and attaching the cape inside. Have you tried the search function? I know it's kind of a pain but it might yield some results. I suggest just using the words UD jacket and cape in the search box and trying the main forum, the costume vault and the capes sections.
Jamie might have some insight as well, he used to have one of those jackets I believe.

Yeah, not much in the search function with UD Replicas or jacket. Read every thread in the "capes' section. I've heard of all the methods, just haven't seen any close ups of the different methods used.

Sorry I just saw this question. For some reason it didnt show the "new" thing beside. Anyway, here's some shots of my UD TDK jacket with magnets. Theyre "Rare Earth" magnets. the ones inside the suit are attached, but the ones on the cape are not. If you just roll the fabric of your cape under the magnet once...it wont be going anywhere. I did an appearance at an indoor trampoline park and jumped off a trapeze and all over the trampolines...it went nowhere. Even when I slipped and did a 10' long tuck and roll haha.

Awesome. Thanks for that. I did buy some rare earth magnets, but they just won't have the strength. I might look at buying some stronger ones.

Too long ago to still have a link of the actual magnets you bought??

I bought this suit used from another guy and he already had these magnets for it.

But I'm pretty sure it's these:

Wow, 282lb strength! No wonder they don't come off. But at $62 each, that would be over $240, just for Cape attachment....

Yea I had no idea they were that expensive to be honest. I'm sure there are cheaper places you can find them.

My first coat I tucked it between the chest plate and the jacket. Second one I used an xacto blade and cut it open right about the carbon fiber pieces. I was ok with ruining the coat to suit my needs the second time.

Just attached my cape - ended up cutting slits through the jacket just above the carbon fibre insert. I've also got some temporary magnets through to the inside of the jacket. Have got more magnets on order.

Will post pics once it's complete
