Arkham City suit

So figured I'd share what I've been up to.

Nothing. hahahahaha

I've been busy being Batman with Heroes Alliance in Texas but due to poor leadership, it was closed and around the same time, thanks to the Army, we moved to Virginia. Before leaving Texas though, I had quite a few gigs as Batman. My Begins suit has taken a beating and the undersuit is falling apart. So my goal with it is to salvage the latex armor and re-glue it to a new base suit.

In the meantime, I've had some armor laying around (sadly for almost a year) for an Arkham City batsuit. Just been lazy. But I have a generic belt as well as an accurate Arkham City belt. And just acquired a cowl (its on its way). Hopefully this suit will be completed by next month and ready for Halloween and Con season!

Look good so far! Will you paint the latex? Please show the progress, I am interested to know in the kind of color if ever you paint it. The texture on the chest and legs looks excellent!

Suit color and texture looks fantastic, not sure if the emblem is flexible enough to lay flat on the suit, is it from rubber? It looks a little bit thick and sturdy.

Its urethane, very floppy. It will glue down nicely.

I got it directly from the guy who makes them. I didn't even know he had an Etsy store but yeah, its the same guy. Hero Armour or something like that.

Nice work Tony. I have a thought, why not add real rivets? or use eyelets? They're pretty easy to install.

Good question. Answer is I don't know how? Is there a tool to use for that? Would it be powerful enough to go through the latex? Would I have to cut/burn that latex at those spots first? Honestly, too much experimentation would be involved and the painted 'rivets' do the job.

Just got these in the mail the other day. They need some work and are pretty big. I'll work on them and if they look silly on my small arms, well, then I'll go a different route. But pretty neat anyway...

Just got the basesuit today. Waiting on the cape.
A few modifications to the gauntlets and belt and the Arkham Bat will be up and running.

That's pretty darn sweet Tony.

Oh and BTW, yeah, if you had wanted to put in eyelets you'd have to punch out holes first. They do sell them with a punch tool though (in case you wanted to experiment at some point) all you really need is a light hammer, like a ball peen to flare them over. It would depend though also on how thick the latex is, the ones I was thinking about are like the eyelets they used to use in canvas sneakers (I'm sure you've seen them). I probably have some here I could send you if you wanted (might even still have the punch tool)

Thanks Ed but I'm going to leave it as it is. I don't really have anything to experiment on and besides, a little paint is a lot easier ;-)
