Bigbat23's TDK foam build

Yeah, I'm working on 2 suits, soon to be 3 at a time. Never really cared for this suit but figured it be easy to build in foam. First up is the cowl and neck piece. All done just ready for painting.

Great work so far, looks like a perfect fit! The cowl looks sharp on the contours and that makes it even better in look!

Thanks guys! I have made some small progress.

Cowl Plasti Dipped. It's not 100% but it will do. I used 2 cans of Plasti Dip on it to cover up the seams as best I could.

And this belt was a bit of a headache. So many pieces to cut out and glue together, not to mention the buckle I had to sculpt with my Dremmel. I'm pretty proud of the way that turned out though. Almost done with it, just waiting on the last few pieces to dry.

Man! That is impressive, thanks for the update, this is a very cool project, the cowl looks like a cast from rubber! What kind of materials you used on the belt, those links look sharp and clean.

Thank you! The cowl feels like a rubber cast with all that Plasti Dip on it. Lol. The belt links are 5mm foam cut VERY carefully. The smaller links are 3mm foam as are the "magnets". The buckle is 2 layers of 5mm foam. After I have it all assembled I'm going to glue the entire belt to a big piece of 2mm foam for stability.

I'm always incredibly impressed when I find one of you're threads and make my way through them. Always feel really inspired by seeing you're work.
I have a question about the foam cowls you've made, How sturdy are they? Do they last after some uses? because I've had urethane masks that give out after a couple of times been yanked over my chunky head :lol

Thank you very much. As for the durability of the cowls, my Origins cowl is the first one I did I believe, over a year ago and it is holding up pretty well even though I haven't really taken great care of it. I've wore it out 3 times and I'd put it on tomorrow if I had to. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at it's durability.

Finished my utility belt last night. Really proud of how it turned out.

If I have time before Halloween I will add pouches and cylinders. Up next, the gauntlets. I'm nearly done with the first one.
