I would still consider moving them to a different site like tinypic or imgur while you still know where they are. Photobucket pretty much decimated just about everything else here. It's possible that our Moderator MartiniMcfly has already done this for you though. He has been working to restore what he can over the last few months by relocating and updating what he can get access to. So I have made a longer fabric one with and attached hood, feel this looks alot better, Also painted the face section of the cowl black for more of a comic book look. Really pleased with how its looking now. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cluey)Tue, 24 Jul 2018 14:35:26 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2345378,from=rss#post2345378https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2345378,from=rss#post2345378Not been on here for a while, just seen the thread about photo bucket photos disapearing from threads. I did trim the leg muscles a bit more and it looked ok in the mirror but the camera is still picking out the lines too much so I plan to trim them some more to try and soften the lines out. I have also add some calf muscles which fill out the boots better. Loving the fact I can simply remove the cowl and then fold back the hood to help cool down at events. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cluey)Sun, 16 Apr 2017 17:13:53 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344292,from=rss#post2344292https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344292,from=rss#post2344292Thanks guys. :) nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cluey)Sun, 16 Apr 2017 16:42:23 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344289,from=rss#post2344289https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344289,from=rss#post2344289 :up :up :up Awesome !!  :up :up :up nondisclosed_email@example.com (efarrell4)Sat, 15 Apr 2017 09:47:50 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344288,from=rss#post2344288https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344288,from=rss#post2344288Looks great!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Doh2)Sat, 15 Apr 2017 02:41:18 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344286,from=rss#post2344286https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344286,from=rss#post2344286Tried it all on earlier today to see how its shaping up. The version im doing has very long thin fins on his gloves. I made some comic con friendly fins out of craf foam sandwiched between blue leatherette. I then painted them with the blue leather paint. Cut slots in the leather gloves and inserted the fins from the inside. I then painted the gloves with the leather paint. It must have been hard to track down a piece that long and wide. Years ago I used a black King Size bed sheet. My guess is that could be latex'd pretty well. Cheers Ed. Its not as hard as I thought it was going be. Most leatherette I found is sold from 140cm wide rolls and is sold by the meter in one continuous lenght so I ordered 3m for about £18 which I thought was really good for a sheet almost 5ft wide by 10ft. I'm 6ft I so i would have liked it a little wider so the cape could be a little longer but this will do for now. I did find someone selling 170cm wide rolls but it was to dark a blue, but I will keep looking. Still £18 for a leatherette cape isn't bad. Yeah a bed sheet would latex pretty well I would think, but I'm liking the ease of the leatherette method now after my last experience with latexing a cape. :) nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cluey)Wed, 05 Apr 2017 14:42:22 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344247,from=rss#post2344247https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344247,from=rss#post2344247Looks Great Lee. I have the boots and gloves ready for painting blue but needed to the cape sorted first in case I couldn't find a good enough match and need to alter the cowls colour to match the cape. Thankfully I found a leatherette which is a very good match for the plasti dip flex blue I am using so things can get moving again. :dancespot The material came yesterday and I couldn't wait to start, so last night I folded the material a few times, cut some pieces off and made a one piece seamless cape. I plan to add some rods so I can do a full wing span so the ends dont fold over. I plan to add a fastening system at the weekend. The material has a white fabric backing which I plan to dye blue, I have plenty of off cuts to test this on first. Not a bad start on the cape for about 15/20 mins work. Hope you guys like it. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cluey)Thu, 30 Mar 2017 17:11:33 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344175,from=rss#post2344175https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344175,from=rss#post2344175Quote:Dave Batman wrote:  :up :up big ups Thanksnondisclosed_email@example.com (Cluey)Sat, 18 Mar 2017 03:11:05 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344174,from=rss#post2344174https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344174,from=rss#post2344174Quote:Bigbat23 wrote: This is absolutely awesome! I love the blue and grey suits. Can't wait to see this cape. What are your plans for gloves? Thanks. I have ordered some XL long blue plain leather gloves. They are elbow length so I can adjust them to the length I want. They are a womans opra glove which I found on ebay, they do them in a XL size and acording to their size chart they have a 8.5inch / 21cm palm which is a big enough palm size for me. They are a dark blue but I have some blue and white leather paint to colour match then to my cape once I have the material to copy. For the glove fins I may cut them out of foam or I am thinking of sculpting them, making a mould and casting a set like I did for my 89 suit. They should turn up next week so I will post pics when they get here. :up nondisclosed_email@example.com (Cluey)Sat, 18 Mar 2017 03:09:56 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344173,from=rss#post2344173https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344173,from=rss#post2344173 :up :up big ups nondisclosed_email@example.com (Dave Batman)Fri, 17 Mar 2017 23:18:04 +0000 Re: 80s Comic Version Batmanhttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344169,from=rss#post2344169https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2344169,from=rss#post2344169This is absolutely awesome!
