Look cool, but really just add extra layers of heat and bulk when wearing a suit that is already armored.

Re: Armored underwear for Batsuit, lots of photos
I wonder if the armor could be attached directly to this stuff.

Re: Armored underwear for Batsuit, lots of photos
Most of those textiles are 4 ways stretch, so it is not recommended to attach armor on it. I live in a country with real wintertime, so meaning its very cold sometimes and then this underwear is great to wear under the rubber. But I also understand that there are big parts on this planet where it is impossible to wear a Batsuit outside rooms with aircondition.

Wait... we CAN'T attach to 4 way stretch? I thought as long as you properly adhesived it when on, there wouldn't be an issue with any stretching etc.

Re: Armored underwear for Batsuit, lots of photos
It is not possible to keep armor in place with elastic 4 way stretch. I am talking about strong parts made from latex or urethane. Maybe you could risk it with foamy. The weight of the armor will pull on the stretch and that is the reason people use neoprene or other textiles that are 2 way stretch. In hotter times or hotter places people tend to use only the front side armor, and cover the back with the cape, in such a case the weight of the armor is on only one side, so it will not look good because it tend to sag. I recommend to use 2 way stretch, or a combination of 2 way stretch for arms and legs, but non stretch on the body, maybe even some sort of non-stretch textile like a net for ventilation.Personally I used a black leather Motorcycle suit, and mounted the armor on it, but I only wear that suit in winter. The armor from my summer-suit on my avatar is mounted on 2 way stretch pants and a 2 way stretch top.

Re: Armored underwear for Batsuit, lots of photos
I just wear thin black UA as a base. A thin dive suit would just make me sweat too much extra.
My armor is industrial velcro stick.
But now my PJ Wares 89 urethane cowl is rotting away. Turns-out using industrial velcro to attach my 89 emblem to the bottom of my cowl spread toxic rotting to kill my cowl, but it took from 2007 to a couple of months ago to damage it.
I now have no cowl and I need a BIG head cowl from Texas. Something cool with an 89 vibe!
