+++++++++ A MAN IN A COSTUME +++++++++

Hey you! Brother here in the BOTB, Batman Fan and hopefully owner or former owner of a Batman Suit / Costume / Armor. How do you feel when dressed up? Like a normal man, or is it empowering your imagination, your motivation or anything else? Lets talk about the change that the suit is having on your real person, your character or your feelings...

Personally I love the suit in colder weather, in rain its perfect because the cape is waterproof, so its very functional. Also I have a light cape so its easy to move. I like the feeling of having a layer of rubber armor, I feel more protected, because sometimes some drunks or "funny" people tend to box, or kick me when I am in the suit. I also seems to be taller than I am and that is a plus sometimes. What I really enjoy is that Batman has a positive image that is easier to transmit then my own positive worldview because I dont have to talk to make a point. Its amazing that people greet me with "Hi Batman" . It gives me a positive feeling and because I love the design of the costume I always have a great time

I prefer to suit-up in my hybrid '89 only when it's 50 or 60 degrees - for then I can wear my Batsuit for over an hour without suffering. It changes me when I wear it, as I say the most by saying less. 'Normally I'd be very talkative. Also it's hard not to smile, but a smile kills our suit, vibe and our character instantly.

The mask has power.
It can make a shy man more confident...
It can make an indecisive man commit to action...
It can make an average [sign in to see URL].

I walk taller, I’m a younger [sign in to see URL] ageless, I develop a bit of a swagger.
I talk to women easier.
I’ve worn the suit enough to know how to move in it, love it especially in the cooler months, but I don’t mind it when it’s warmer.
I’m Batman.

I've had some difficulty explaining the realities of the Batsuit to people over the years. For the girlfriends I've had, it was important that they understand that I'm not just 'Me in a Batsuit' when I put on the uniform; I'm Batman. And for some it was harder to fully understand than others.

When I'm wearing the suit, the part of me that has always been defined by Batman; the man, the strength, the will, the beliefs, all of that comes to the forefront. And I don't drop out of that until I'm out of the uniform.

The sweat and pain and exhaustion only push me further into character, as Batman needs to use this suit to touch the lives of others, even as my muscles burn from the weight and my head aches from the cowl; it's all fuel to keep moving, keep making children believe in heroes. Get that last picture, receive that last hug from a little boy or girl.
