Spring Loaded Wrist Holster
what the hell you call those mechanisms which you see in wild west saloon movies that straps to your wrist/arm and delivers a pistol into your hand when you trigger the mechanism.
Thanks
Paul

Re: Before I go insane can someone tell me......
aww now i have to go watch that movie to see if thats what I mean. I think it is something like a spring loaded slide - I know there was something on the film Wild Wild West (yes ok I was the person who watched it - I admit it!)

You mean like a spring loaded wrist holster? I think those were just movie fantasies, but cool none-the-less.

Spring-clip holster.
They exist, and are very, very illegal where I come from.
I should add, these are AKA (variations on) sleeve holster, spring-sleeve holster, etc...

No,they're real. :) I don't know what you call them either and they wouldn't be a shelf item, more of a custom made thing, but they certainly exist.
Magicians use something very similar for certain sleeving effects with cards and such. Based on the same principle.

Re: Before I go insane can someone tell me......
I thought they were called holdout pistols. I read a lot of SW books, and when they talk about holdout blasters, that's what I imagine anyway.
They could also be refering to like an ankle holster or something, and I could be dead wrong.

Re: Before I go insane can someone tell me......
Well I think the answer is in this thread somewhere. My thoughts were to adapt one to hold a batarang and with a flick of the wrist (try to keep it clean folks :firemad) the rang appears in your hand.

Re: Before I go insane can someone tell me......
Well, they are real as far as ppl have made them but they are not practicle...I have enough trouble retrieving my backup pistol (Glock 27) from my ankle. Those things get heavy, and you really don't want a sweaty pistol dropping into your fatigued hand...
The best version I've seen is "Sex Machine's" crotch revolver in "Dusk Till Dawn". :toocool
