My Thor WIP
ok, let's face it, everyone else is working on Thor, it was only a matter of time for me.
I was reluctant to post until it was closer to completion, but Jeremey/MalmeyStudios/Batguano talked me into posting it up. lol
now, I know it's not perfect or as awesome as most thors out there, but I'm very happy with how it's turning out and can't wait for it's event debut at the local airshow. :)
early tests on the wig with a fake beard:
followed by some more with my own beard, a light gray/silver shirt, the cape, and my batman armor to get a feel for it:
colored it in with yellow to make it visible... nonexistant otherwise. lol
and a shot from the back showing how far the wig extends and how the cape looks:
armor started as this:
then I plastidipped it and started the paintup..
starting the silver:
finished black & chrome:
blue added and finished:
and with no flash:
clear plastidip for a clearcoat on the blue and silver muted the metallic a bit, but it works. added some red fabric onto the armor to hide where the cape will attach:
followed by work on the gauntlets
and yea, they really do lace up:
full frontal:
slight action pose:
and a teaser shot for the avengers crew that has signed on for the airshow
I still have to add straps to the armor, trim the wig, track down leather pants, get the helmet, and possibly redo the cape in something bigger, brighter, and more velvety. lol

I didn't convince u to post it all I said is build the costume for u and F what people think!!
I think it looks good. Better than rubies!!! You know ur doing good if its better than rubies!! :-)

precisely. that made me realize that I only have to acknowledge the criticism I choose acknowledge :)
I'm really loving where it's going. whenever I put on the armor, I kinda feel like being arrogant and impulsive.... much like a similar member of actual Asgardian royalty. :lol

Yea, not hard to outdo em. :lol
I'm still toying with addons and improvements. Currently debating on adding sleeves and trying to make a holder for the hammer. Lol
