This was my first costume in 92'. It was Batman Returns. The cape had to be shortend for safety reasons. The belt as you can see was pigmented urethane(ugh). basicaly urethane skins attached to a spandex jumpsuit. gloves had to be made extra heavy because they had to hang from cables going accross the audience. pretty bad.

This was my second costume - the panther suit. this time it was foam latex. My face(blue) is in the cowl. next to it was my first full-size statue, the infamous Morris sonar statue. both done back in 94'.

This is me (sooo serious!!)holding up a "Returns bib" I made for sixflags. The material around it is powernet. It was incarcerated in just behind the edge, then a team of seamstresses sewed them into the spandex. from the front you couldn't see how it was attached. Everyone agreed that glue would probaly come off during a performance. For that reason nothing could be painted. I actually had powdercoated belts with the more dark gold, but they wanted the candy yellow as it went with the show better they said. I wanted these costumes to be exactly like the movie, but they cared more about mobility, and the one size fits all thing. These guys had to wear all this under a break-away Bruce Wayne tux. Heat index in places was up to 120deg. concrete stage. Very first complete costume, Although I had done a lot of 89 parts at that time.
