Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!
Surely Alfred the butler was first to build a suit!
Has he logged in lately?

I remember them, they also did an 89 style cowl and Joker mask. whatever happened to them?

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!
My first '89 cowl was from Nightowl. He did great work and was a real nice guy. I'm not sure what happened to him though.

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!
Batvault didn't make anything he was a recaster only if I remember correctly. Looks like Bob takes the prize for most big time bat guy all round and also first most majorly into the bat guy of all too. I do not think any of us could hope to do what he has done or have the time or energy or even attempt it if we thought we could. This guy might as well have done the movie suits. Now that the internet has brought all the bat guys from around the world together I think it is safe to say he was the biggest and the best and most extreme and still is. That's my vote anyway. They broke the mold after that.

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!
I guess my worn out ripped towel tied around my neck and lone ranger mask wouldn't qualify as an accurate batman costume?
I suppose that fits just about every bro here regardless of your generation.

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!
I second Paul's comments, Bob you da man.
I had my grandmother make me an Adam west suit when I was 5, does that count? It was pretty cool, and really looked the part, I only wish I could find pictures of it, but alas they dont seem to exist.

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!
Wow...talk about time flying...Yeah..Bob is the Father bat..I began appearances in '90 with my kidz at Halloween..I had a few custom pieces, most of the suit was Morris with tons of upgrades..zippers, velcro, plasti dip, etc. I started my site (www.eastcoastbatman) in '92..mostly a full guide on how I customized the Morris stuff..The BatGuy whom I had the pleasure to correspond with gave me all kinds of help..I received my 1st '89 yellow belt & '89 emblem from CY Productions..here are links to my 1st suit..I posted it on my site years later..
Well Thanks for the overload of memories..yeah generic bats still have'em....memories..yeah...

Re: WHO WAS THE FIRST BRO!!!
That still looks good today. At least it is well worn and well put together and seemless looking.
I had one of those lone ranger masks too and wore it with my towel as in this pic. I am sure you are right we all did and that might have almost been enough to claim one of the first positions as original bat impersonator as I am older then most of you but Bob probably did the same thing and I believe he is absolutely the oldest bat buddy we have if I am right. Just a guess. So he would still take the cake with his first towel and Lone Ranger Mask.
