Re: Crossing Line
BatHound, That's awesome! Do you have any pics from the event? Well, since I am just starting my Batman costuming, I don't get a whole lot of strange looks. It comes up sometimes, and I tell them that I'm making the costume for a movie. They ask "why? For school or something?" "No, just for fun." "Oh. Ok." Lucky for me, most of my friends are theater people, so I get a "WOAH AWESOME I WANT IT!" because theater people are awesome. Ha. But I'm been working on Ghostbuster props for almost 2 years now, and when people come over, and they see my stuff, they go "What is that?" "A proton pack from Ghostbusters" "Does it work?" "Um, no." "What's it for then?" "Um... just a hobby." "Oh...." That's what I get a lot. Of course, people drop dead when they see me come to school totally suited up. The look on their faces is priceless. I showed up to my theater's closing performance of "Sweeney Todd" last year dressed in my uniform and pack, and the lead roll mobbed me and nearly knocked me over cause he was so stoaked. It was awesome. For me, I'm still in school, and everyone there's still a kid at heart, so I guess its easier on me to talk about these things without getting the look of death.
