Did you ever see a Mig do this?

This pilot does some pretty amazing things with his fighter.

Ever see a Mig STOP and appear to go BACKWARDS?

Pretty flipping cool if you ask me. I saw a F22 hover at the last airshow I went to... that was very cool.

I would have liked to seen this Mig in person.

wow.

I've seen A-10's slow down to amazingly low speeds, which is totally amazing because of their enormous weight from their heavy armour.

What this guy does inthe Mig is astounding. He controls it like it was a remote control model.

What truly gets me is, he doesn't stall. :huh

Joking aside on my part, he certainly is a master of his craft (no pun intended).

Echo, I've the warthogs (aka devil's cross) slow down to extremely slow speeds as well and that is truly amazing to see.

That's not a MiG..

THIS is a MiG

or rather, Me in a MiG...

Image

That looks like an Su-30, or something along those lines.

The Canards and Leading Edge wing root extentions give it that kind of Nose authority at such low airspeeds. With such a high AoA, the plane is sitting on little more than its own engine power.

Unfortunately, its purely an airshow maneuver. An A/C with zero energy is dead meat in a fight.

As for Warthogs... their long, straight wings give 'em the amount of lift needed to hulk around their heavy bombloads.
At airshows they're flying clean, so they can slow it down real good and still have no trouble.

You're absolutely right. That's exactly what kind it is. I never heard it refered to as anything other than a Mig.

Very cool photo. The only kind of fighter I've ever sat in was a Harrier, at an air show. Somewhere I've got a shot of it, but that was prior to the advent of digital cameras, so it's on real paper in a box somewhere.

I'd edit the title of the thread, but it's still kinda' "Mig-ish"... Most people will get it. :wink

The air show I saw the warthogs at were live targets in the desert being blown up, namely tanks. When guns go off it almost looks as if the warthog is being pushed backwards.

Very cool sight... Unless of course you're in the tank and then it sucks to be you.

Yes that's a Hind D... Also a BMP on the right, a T72 on the left and I believe a T62 in the back.
