 V Question

The V For Vendetta costume, behind the mask it looks like something is being worn around the head/chin/neck area, so you cant see any flesh around the edges of the mask. What is that thing called?

Re: V Question

Hey hi, I was checking out the same thing when I watched the dvd. It looks alot like the hood I wore when I was a fireman. The one I wore was tan and I believe was made of some part nomex material and is stretchy. I would check out some fire dept equipment sites I know they come in different colors. I was also on the dive rescue team and it could also be a dive hood that I know are black and do come in different thickness. Both covered almost all my head except the face to allow for mask and breathing device. Either way, I am sure it wouldnt be hard to find something close to what they may have used in the movie.

Well you can sure tell in the movie, that something is being worn; especially in the scene at the end where V is laying in the subway car with the roses around him. The camera is pointing up at an angle towards his chin.

Togon probably has a pretty good suggestion. I would try that. That part of the costume really makes it look better.

Re: V Question

When Halloween rolls around the stores should have the stretchy hoods to cover your head. I've seen them with the "faceless masks" at wal mart.

The reason you can't see past a certain point is because the neck of the doublet on the costume rides very high. I don't think there was a hood of any sort used.

A balaclava. You can find them at any military supply store or sprotsmans outlet store, or online.

I have about 3 of them for various reasons.
