i don't know it was pretty easy for me to cancel aol...about 5 or 6 years ago i just stopped paying them...they handled everything...skott

just go to your banker and tell him to block AOL withdrawls :)
that's waht I did with my cellphone and elecricity bill when i left paris for NY because the bastards didn't want me to cancel.

I saw an interview with the guy who taped it and the reporter said that a statement from AOL said the guy was fired.

whoa boy. aol pisses me off. i was fine with them until i tried (and achieved) cancellation. now everytime i hear their name, vehement disgust billows forth like vomit and bile from the orfice some call my mouth.

That's good. That dude would have driven me insane. I wonder why he recorded it. I guess he tried before and had a similar experience?
I remember using AOL when I had my DX33MHz PC waaay back. I used the trial, then I registered under my dad's name and then my mom's name and then my sister's name. The funny thing is that at that time, my sister and I were under age, so I don't remember how I was able to register. Then every quarter of the year, we would get four copies of AOL disks in the mail. Then we got the CDs. It took them a few years to realize, we just weren't going to sign up again.
It was fun for the chat rooms, but that's about it.

When G2K Games, Inc. moved to Firefox they had to cancel our AOL. Jody (my former boss, and now my brother's boss) spent like an hour on the phone and hung up. He left the store came back, and tried to figure out how to cancel his AOL online, but load his Firefox, and use it....it was the biggest possible mess. It took literally HALF the day to cancel AOL.
Mind you, I laughed the entire time...ahhh memories.
