A college student who knows animation real well can do that kinda thing, its no surprise that its not an official clip.
Well... Tony,
The flat-nosed Mack Trucks that the original Optimus Prime was based on, ended production in the 80's. The long-nosed "Peterbilt style" trucks of today are the only type Mack makes anymore. So, to make O.P. a flat-nosed truck would be so, 80's. I'm glad, personally, that they changed it. Besides, there are 2 generations of transformers, and the second Optimus Prime IS a long-nosed truck. So its not all that inaccurate.
And, as Tom pointed out in the other thread VW didn't want their Bug associated with the transformers anymore(the transformers are too violent, this from a car company that was part of Hitler's war machine). So they really had no choice there. They had to make Bumblebee something else.

just another "what I heard" is that anyone who wanted to work on it doing animation had to come up with a clip, that's supposed to be one of those.

I know but I'm afraid that Bumblebee's personality is going to be different and Prime will look retarded. I'm way old school transformers fan. I hope it works out.

word! I just can't picture optimus prime and RHINO from M.A.S.K. merged like this. Can't seem to get a good mental image of how he will look transformed, and that's what worries me.
I did hear that the original voice actors will have a shot as long as they sound similar to what they did on the show, so that could be cool...maybe they can edit the original audio down to do starscream as a tribute.
