Spelunking? Yeah, you know, cave diving...
Anyone ever seen this IMAX movie?
Journey into Amazing Caves
We just finished a 2-week run of this movie in the IMAX theater where I work, and I must say, this has got to be one of my favorite 2D IMAX movies ever.
Amazing, colorful cinematography. You get to see what ice caves and underwater caves are like, as well as rocky caves underground.
Remember how I said water creates caves and the features in them(the stalagmites and stalactites)? Great visualizations of how this process works. And a look into "extremophiles" - organisms that thrive in the harsh conditions that create these different kinds of caves.
Narrated by Liam Neeson(he's always a great narrator... as opposed to Harrison Ford) and features music by The Moody Blues.
I've heard "Everest" is even better, but I've only seen it on the small screen. I cant wait to see it when we show it in a couple weeks.
