Latex on Stretch Fabric

I was wondering if is possible or even a good idea to cover a body suit made of stretch fabric with latex to give it some strength ad durabilty look.

I have read somewhere that people have covered fabric with latex, but most applications seems to have been for capes..but I have not scene any photos.

Thanks

you'll loose some if not all of the stretchability of the fabric.

It would be like wearing a full latex rubber suit. You'd have to apply the latex while either wearing the suit, or while it's on a bodycast to insure that it would fit you afterwards.

At this very moment, I am attempting to apply liquid latex to a spandex hood to see what happens.

I'll let you know.

That's right, you'll have to be wearing it when you latex it. You'll have to saran-wrap yourseld up too. I didn't and I almost every hair on my body! Keep a hair dryer handy too as it will let you heat the latex and make it go off quicker.

It might even be worth buying two bodysuits. Latex one, then sew the other one inside it. That way it will be easier to put on and take off.
