Fixing/Restoring a Panther Buckle - Pics
Ive worked the whole day on "restoring" this Panther buckle. I found a material called Plastic Padding, I asked there i bought it and they say it is like Resin/Hard Plastic..
Here is some pics how it looked like and rest of the process.
Came like this from Gonzalo in Brazil, Notice the broken tail, bottom middle:
Here i have sanded it smooth whit nice sandpaper, then added the resin material, let it dry, and sand it to match in the rest!:
Here is the buckle painted, When the paint have cure over night it will be matte and nice...
In the corners around the bat and inside the ribs was very hard, But i dont think I can do it so much better then this, Sorry for the bad pic on this one, took a white paper under it so the details can be seen:
First i was going to mold it and cast up a new one in Swedish Resin But i was thinking, Nah i dont need more then one.. i just fix this one and keep it like it is. Can always mold it later if i really want.
So what do you guys think... Improvement?
