Re: 89 Belts...
OK, Here's the low down folks. If I'm not mistaken the top one is one that Lou (brucewayne131) made. He adde the line down the center to simulate the place where it would open in the movis and cleaned up the center button which on most copies out there have a dent. The fatter one was a custom sculpt from way back in the early days of the BOTB. made by Jereym (now of xtremedesigns) at the time he was still in WA state.
Hope that clears up the story.. :signal

Re: 89 Belts...
Bob Dullam was talking to me the other day about how the 89 belt was painted gold, with a certain type of paint. Not to mention how Bates was stripping the gold paint off of the real buckle. In pictures it is real subtle and looks yellow, but if you watch the flick you can clearly see that it is a gold/brass color.

Re: 89 Belts...
Was it JUST painted gold? Or yellow, then a subtle, slightly translucent gold over the top?

Ok, to correct Ed... The top is a Lou belt. He molded my old BatVault belt and cleaned it up. It is a totally different belt than the one with the dent in the button, as I once owned both at the same time. The main button on the BatVault had no dent in the middle, and all 3 buttons were rounder than the ones on the buckle with the dent. The Batvault also had a line down the middle but it was kinda faint (so im sure Lou fixed it), and the one with the dent had no line down the middle. Well, to put it bluntly, they are both different belts and Buckles. The buckle on the Vault also had rounded edges, compared to the one with the dent in the button which had sharp edges. And the background lines in the Vault were faint, and the ones with the dent are sharp and perfect. Now to the belts... The Vault belt, at the top where it rounds onto the body, gets flat on top. The Other, with the dent, is round until it touches the body. Get what Im saying??? And the origin of the two belts... The one with the dent is either one of Artsees (cause he has the original with the dent), or one someone recasted off of the one he owns. And the other, if I remember correctly, Batvault got ahold of a BD belt and recasted it (as he did with everything else). Comparing pics of BD's to the BV, they seem to be one in the same cause of the flat top and bottom of the belt, with the exception of BV being a shotty recast. Hope this helps.

Re: 89 Belts...
Ok let's clear this up for like the 20th time. Artsee does not have a belt of his own. Artsee has the real thing and made a mold of it for his use when he wanted a suit like almost 15 years ago years ago and it then sat in his closet for like 15 years. No one can steal from me what I do not own. If you are among the few I have shared with and mold my belt you are molding Warner Brother's which is fine with me and requires no awdacity on anyone's part if you are using it for a hobby or sharing with a few friends and that is about all she wrote.
