Improving a Rubies Belt
I can probably guess some of the answers to this question already: Burn it, throw it away, sell it on ebay, etc. But seriously, how can you improve one of these belts and make it more sturdy or durable?

Re: Rubies' Belts
You could try backing it with something that is more rigid. Then coat the front with plasti-dip. That should take care of most of the problems with it. Of course you will never be able to fix some of the fundamental things that are wrong with it.
But it will be better.
Hope this helps!

Re: Rubies' Belts
The second biggest problem with those belts, after being to thin, is the lack of detail. If you beefed up the back with some of that Crayola clay, Plasti-Dip the front and then find some kind of resin or rubber bat to glue to the front to give it a three dimensional look.
But that would only be if I was on a desert island without an internet connection!

Re: Rubies' Belts
Ed, try filling in the back with light coats of liquid latex. If you want it to go quicker you can soak small pieces of gauze, cheesecloth or cotton in latex and pressing that in. Let it dry thoroughly (a couple of days would be best) then the ol Plasti-Dip will finish 'er up.
