Re: MY COWL MAKING BREAKDOWN (Tutorial)
Oh sure, learn all my methods and then give away all my secrets... sheesh, where's a confidentiality agreement when you need one. :p
Just playin. Looks like everything went well. Told ya, short-cuts are okay, but to go to the next level, you have to be willing to spend some money and a lot of patience. Good job Jon, you were a good Padawan. :cheers

Re: MY COWL MAKING BREAKDOWN (Tutorial)
Awesome job man!! Filled in the holes that I wasn't too sure about?
One question, if you don't mind me asking, what was the final cost tally?

Re: MY COWL MAKING BREAKDOWN (Tutorial)
Plaster with shipping is $100? :dropjaw
you can get 50 pounds of plaster on plaster.com for $23. Is the shipping really steep enough to make it $100 total?

Re: MY COWL MAKING BREAKDOWN (Tutorial)
Well, I tend to order a lot of plaster for when I used to make latex castings.. I never just make 1 mold, I always made about 4 because with each pull, the plaster mold will deteriorate. I'm sure Jon did the same, since he's probably going to be making quite a few of those. :wink

Re: MY COWL MAKING BREAKDOWN (Tutorial)
Well, I forgot all you mass-producers out there get things in bulk quantities. :p
I figured the shipping for me would make it about $37. Yay for me. :p
