Removing the Logo from a Licensed Begins Cowl
Hello everyone. I just got my new licensed cowl in the mail to begin modifying it. I did the same about 3 years ago with an 89 cowl and had hardly any problems. But because of the thin latex on the Begins cowl, I think if I sanded off the copyright info on the back, I'd be left with a hole on the back of the cowl. How'd those of you who have already worked on your cowls get around this? Did you reinforce it before sanding or what? I'd appreciate any help.
Also, just so I'm not a random guy asking a question, I'd like to re-introduce myself. My name is Alan and I was a frequent visitor to the BOTB back when it was on ezboard and went by "DataTeen." Anyways, if you wanna see more about me (but more importantly, my suit), the banner below is a link to my site with pics.

Re: Begins Licensed Cowl question
Welcome to the board, Nice suit man.

Re: Begins Licensed Cowl question
i left it alone. after i put the plasti dip on it it really didnt stand out as much. plus depending on how you are going to wear your cape, it may actually cover that spot.

Re: Begins Licensed Cowl question
With mine, I filled the void on the inside with additional latex so when I removed the copyright info I was down to the new latex, not leaving a hole. Once smoothed out and plasti-dip applied you won't even know it was there.

Re: Begins Licensed Cowl question
Thanks. Another quick question - I've had some bad luck in aquiring latex from on-line. Where do you get your latex? and what kind do you get?

Re: Begins Licensed Cowl question
Hello Datateen, good to see you again.
I haven't taken the Copyright info off mine yet, but I'll be doing the same thing BatcaveHQ did with his.

Just cut it off, unless you have latex skills...
