Black Camo Paint - Safe to Use Around Eyes?
Hi. I've seen a website that details the making of someone's batsuit.
On the FAQ section, he mentions that you should use Black Camo Face Paint or eye black around the eyes.
This is because it's sweatproof and when he'd used regular face paint, that ran down his face.
So, is it safe to use around the eyes? Has anyone had any problems or rashes with this stuff? If you didn't use it, what did you use instead?
I'm interested to know, as when I dressed as Beetlejuice, 2 years ago, the black face paint melted and ran all over the place!
Thanks,
Darren 73

I've been using a camo pac since I saw Batman 89.
Try it on your wrist first to see if you have any allergies or reactions to it.

The small compacts you buy at Wal Mart or any sporting goods stores should be non toxic. I use the same thing without a prob.
However if you do sweat a lot it still might smear.

I use the camo pac from Wal Mart and have not had any problems. It holds up pretty well even when I sweat. Just do like Brin says and try it on your wrist first. You won't strike much fear into the heart of evil if your eyes are swollen shut! :doh

The camo black face paint would be better than the black makeup/face paint currently available at the Halloween stores then? :doh

Bountys -
I used to use that black "clown" style tube makeup from the Haloween stores - -it sweated off, smeared, etc.
Brin mentioned that Camo pack stuff a few years back, and I have used NOTHING but that ever since -
Trust me - -100% better!!
It's like 4 bucks or so at walmart in the Hunting section - -I actually couldn't find it on the shelf, so I asked the walmart dudedude and there it was - -
Go get it!!!

make sure to get baby powder to remove it or you'll never get it off;) It's a real pain otherwise.

The Camo stuff is awesome as is the eye black that athletes use. I like the eye black because it comes in a lipstick type of tube & is really easy to use. It is also found in the sporting goods dept. at Wal Mart. Either one should do the trick.

OK just thought I'd add... I use Canadian Army issue stuff. It was free (issued). I'll get the brand in a bit. Works awesome. But I seem to sweat it off.
Just a reminder not to use the military issue cam paint from the 60's-70's... It comes in the little stick. It causes cancer.
