Be meaning to give it a try. Just have not made the time. http://www.photoez.us/ Turns any image such as a ink-jet printer output into a mesh screened stencil. nondisclosed_email@example.com (LemApp)Sat, 19 Feb 2005 16:36:17 +0000 Re: How does one silkscreen a batlogo????https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797721,from=rss#post1797721https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797721,from=rss#post1797721Everything Tim said is great advice, but there's an even more inexpensive way. Do everything Tim said, then instead of buying an airbrush, go to AutoZone, and get a can of Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric spray in the color desired. You can also draw out your design , and use the quick release masking tape to stencil off your bat, or whatever. I've also sprayed Plasti-dip on shirts as well. It's very easy. -Brinnondisclosed_email@example.com (Brin Londo)Sat, 19 Feb 2005 15:45:22 +0000 Re: How does one silkscreen a batlogo????https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797720,from=rss#post1797720https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797720,from=rss#post1797720um, what Tim said....I'm always late! :grumble Shawnnondisclosed_email@example.com (theMantid)Sat, 19 Feb 2005 15:40:56 +0000 Re: How does one silkscreen a batlogo????https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797719,from=rss#post1797719https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797719,from=rss#post1797719Sure... what you're basically talking about is airbrushing. You need an airbrush, acrylic paint, or regular acrylic watered down with a setting additive. After you get your paint and make your stencil you get yourself an airbrush (even a cheap one will work for something like this). Stretch your shirt or whatever over a piece of large cardboard to make it flat, spay some spray adhesive lightly on the back of the stencil to keep it in place, and then apply it to the shirt. Use the airbrush to put as many light coats of paint onto the shirt to achieve the darkness desired. Remember, many thin coats are better than a few thick ones. After it's where you want it, remove your stencil, put a piece of brown paper bag or butchers paper (something without wax) over the design, and iron it to heat set the paint. There's also a setting spray that you can buy to "seal" your work, but I've never need to use it myself. Good luck bro, and hit me up if you need to know anything else about it. ~Tim :batfly nondisclosed_email@example.com (The BlackBat)Sat, 19 Feb 2005 13:51:18 +0000 Re: How does one silkscreen a batlogo????https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797718,from=rss#post1797718https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797718,from=rss#post1797718Is there a fabric spray that you can spray on using a stencil to create the logo shape? It seems to me that one could stretch the shirt out flat and place a stencil in the desired location and use some kind of fabric spray to create a logo? Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, what kinds of spray there are? Are they perminant and durable? Just wondering...nondisclosed_email@example.com (JBrown437)Sat, 19 Feb 2005 13:27:19 +0000 Re: How does one silkscreen a batlogo????https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797717,from=rss#post1797717https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797717,from=rss#post1797717I vote for the t-shirt shop as well.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BigBadBat)Sun, 13 Feb 2005 22:47:24 +0000 Re: How does one silkscreen a batlogo????https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797716,from=rss#post1797716https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797716,from=rss#post1797716Thanks Tim!!! Here's a link that runs step by step for you: http://www.reuels.com/reuels/page512.html You might find someone at a custom T-shirt shop that would be willing to do it for you if you're in a pinch. ~Tim :batfly nondisclosed_email@example.com (The BlackBat)Sun, 13 Feb 2005 20:59:53 +0000 Re: How does one silkscreen a batlogo????https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797714,from=rss#post1797714https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1797714,from=rss#post1797714I don't know how to either, but many craft stores often sell silk-screning kits.
