Prototype Metal Fins - Pics
Between working on the batmobile and fixing some problems on the working batbelt, I finally was able to get the design out of my head and into real life.
These are only prototypes and are not made strong. The final version will be welded up and use a little thicker metal, and will be polished up nicely. I belive the alum polished look will just look awesome with my suit design.
Anyways, here's 2 pics of the prototype. I'm still working on the gloves for them, I'm not too great at sewing so I might just have to find someone that could take my glove design and make it happen for me. Anyone here know anyone that does custom glove work at a fair price?

Re: my prototype batfins
Typically, I prowl around and just check out the posts. However, I had to give some props to these fins. Those are not simply "costume" pieces, or, props. Those are, simply stated, a work of art. I'm in awe!

Re: my prototype batfins
WOW Sq1star!! I've always advocated metal fins on a Level 4 functional Bat Suit that could hook on parts of building facades and what not to help pull Batman up. Your concept combines the strength, breadth (possibly even containing things) and awesome looks in one! Congratulations!

Re: my prototype batfins
thanks all
zane
ive actully thought about having the back fin pop out to hold items, i was thinking some extra bat darts, the prototype batdart looks like this
the final verison will look like that only smaller and made better, they will fit into a luncher that is on the underside of the glove that will pop up.

Re: my prototype batfins
Dude!!! Those fins are somethin' serious. Those fins are not playin' around. :fright I have always kinda wondered why in the movies the fins didn't work out as a sort of weapon, or something. Good looking stuff there. I have a pair of generic gloves/gauntlets that I would be willing to let go for a decent price if you were interested. It wouldn't take much to rivet this piece to the side of the gauntlet. I'll send you some pics early next week if you are interested. Take care.
