Henry Wayne 89 Figure - Sculpt & WIP Pics Start to Finish

Hi Brothers,

I am not a talented guy like Jants, artsee1 and DAVIDYR1. These bros made very very good and great costume. :up

So seeing that I can never done any GREAT things like they do, I decided to go for SMALL ones. :lol

O.K. bros, I am now starting my new Batman project, I am going to make a 89 Batman costume for action figures to wear. I will start posting pics and progress of my project from clay sculpt till the finished 89 Batman action figure comes out.

This is the action figure body I am going to use for this project. I chose this body because it has a good human body shape.

Here you can see my clay sculpt of Keaton's head.

Seeing that a figure Keaton head will not be able to wear a bald cap to put on his Cowl, so I seperate the hair from the head. In this way, Keaton can wear the Cowl perfectly. The hair can be attached back to Keaton's head when not wearing the Cowl.
See Pic.

This clay sculpt head of Keaton will be remold to resin cast. After that, I will use the resin cast head and add clay on it to sculpt the Cowl, this way can guarantee that the Cowl will fit Keaton's figure head perfectly.

I will post pics when I finish the Cowl sculpting.

Brothers who are interested in this thread please check this thread every 10 to 14 days, I will update pics and my progress from time to time. Thanks!!! :soon

Sorry for the bad quality of the pics, why don't I have enough money to buy a better Digi Camera to take close up pictures!! :banghead

I like it man, thats a pretty accurate sculpt of the head and face considering the small room to work with. I cant wait to see how it turns out. Good luck with it.

Awesome!! I was kicking this idea around a while back but can't seem to find the time. DT and the Bathound have done some impressive custom stuff like this as well...very cool :up

I will be anticipating your next post with great eagerness!

Whoa! DO NOT sell yourself short man... That is downright impressive.

Personally, I think that working at a smaller scale like that would be much more difficult than full size. As I see it, there's absolutely nothing stopping you from doing what the "BOTB all stars" do - you already are.

Great work!
