Molded My First Cowl
Last night I tried to mold my 1st cowl !! My god what a mess ! Me and plaster don't get along at all ... I had this stuff all the way up to my elbows....and on everything else that wasn't moving... and a little on the things that were moving!!! Just ask the dog ! I don't know how in the he77 I am ever going to get this thing apart I had intentions of taking pics of the process ..... Right !
I didn't even take a pic of the finished scupt which I may never see again unless I rent a jack hammer ...
here it a in process pic ... you will get the idea of what it may or may not ever look like ... it is full face , squared nose and brows ....

Yes plaster + turning it into a mold = Hell I had 2 strikes before I was able to make a mold. The good thing trough my hell was what I learned. I damage allot of my sculpt when it locked into the mold I was able to get it out and restore it so don’t give up hope I’m sure you can triumph over the dreaded plaster.

Re: My God what a mess.... molded my 1st cowl !
Oh geeze, I'm having flashbacks to my first mold a year ago. If it could go wrong, it did. Plaster dust everywhere, a mold that wouldn't separate, me screaming at the top of my lungs. It was lovely. If you need some help, let me know. Two people can work twice as fast and I would be glad to assist.
