Plasti Dip & Urethane/Flesh

1) I have a flesh/latex cowl. Can I plastidip it? Its kinda sticky on the outside and with my 24-in head I'm afraid the flesh might start wearing thin and I'd like it to have an outer covering.

2) I have heavy duty latex chest and leg armor (from Paul/Artsee). What is the best method other than gluing to an undersuit to wear the parts? My current plan is to use nylon polypro heavy duty 1-in webbing/strapping to the armor and wearing them like a vest and chaps. Would superglue suffice or should I use very small bolts/washers?

Re: Plastidip & Adhesive Questions

I don't really have an answer for you ,but I've got Paul's Returns armor too and I would recommend gluing it down.

The reason I say this is,I mounted it to a spandex suit first and while it worked well,it did hang down/sag a little too much. The belt kept it in place though.
Once I got the BodyGlove,I mounted on that instead and it made all the difference.
For Paul's armor,I would recommend a wetsuit of some kind and secure it down. It's heavy armor,so you need something heavy-duty to attach it to.
It's just my opinion, but I don't know if straps would do the trick.

If you do try the strap idea, probably small nut's/bolts and washers would be best, but I'm no expert so don't listen to me :hey

EDIT:Called you Bernie the first time...I thought you were 'JediWeapon'..sorry hehe

i doubt plastidip will stay adhered to the flesh cowl. that material has almost the same propeties as silicone.

Double-check that your "flesh" is latex. My recollection is that it's urethane, and if so, will not bond with Plasti-Dip.

he's made those in both materials. since you describe it as "kinda sticky", i'm sure it's urethane.
