Latex Pigment

Hey, back almost 2 months ago when I was buying stuff for my Azbats suit, I got some blue pigment for my latex, and the guy explained what to do, but I have since forgotten how much to add to a gallon of latex. Any help would be appreciated. And if it helps, I'm using Burman Industries BFLP-09 Pigment 4oz, Thalo Blue.

Re: Latex Pigment

Be careful, that thalo blue is meant for urethane and may not mix into latex right..in fact, I don't think it will work too well. The thalo blue pigment from Burman's is an oil based paint and latex is water and ammonia based.

The urethane will work fine. I know that some guys use it and say they get a better black out of it but I didnt find that to be true.

I would call Burman and ask. I have always just used acrylic paints mixed into the latex. Very inexspensive and works just the same.

All I can add here is that when I tint my latex black I use Universal tint about 1/2 quart of tint for 5 gallons of latex..
