It is basically a topcoat over the flexible material below. Hey Drew,    I'm thinking that there must be some chemical much like an Armorall that is blocking the Plasti-Dip from stick. The goal would be to remove whatever is there blocking the paint from sticking. There are differenting types of solutions but one that I like is sort of brute force. I like sandpaper. Rough up the surface to give a great surface area for the plasti-dip to grab hold of. Need to be careful though because plasti-dip is very thin and does not hide too many details. Use a fairly small grain of sand and use light pressure. Think microfiber fabric like a micro velevt instead of terry cloth like a cheap bath towel. I hope this helps. nondisclosed_email@example.com (LemApp)Fri, 04 Feb 2005 09:58:51 +0000 Re: About Plasti-Diphttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1800419,from=rss#post1800419https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1800419,from=rss#post1800419I sprayed mine as well. Though there is one tiny section where it just won't seem to take no matter how much I spray on it. Any ideas? How many coats do you recommend for armor and cowl?nondisclosed_email@example.com (BlackMan)Thu, 03 Feb 2005 12:06:39 +0000 Re: About Plasti-Diphttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1800417,from=rss#post1800417https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1800417,from=rss#post1800417I prefer Spary because I can get a solid coating without brish strokes. I do not have acces to a pressure spray system, so I know I waste something by using cans but I get a solid coat. I spray back and forth over an area building up. I continue to spray until it fills in all of the drops but not too much so that it runs. A very careful balance of a solid fill but not enough to flood (drip). nondisclosed_email@example.com (LemApp)Thu, 03 Feb 2005 11:32:17 +0000 Re: About Plasti-Diphttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1800416,from=rss#post1800416https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p1800416,from=rss#post1800416You want the spray.
