Riddler Jacket
Ok. I'm stumped at the best way to go about this. I need to make a jacket ACID green with question marks, for a certain costume. It's top secret so SHHHHHHH!!!
Anywho should I dye the jacket green then paint on the marks? Or would it be better to have it custom made with a green material and silkscreened "?"'s ?? To sew onto the jacket. Does that make any sense???
I haven't worked with cloth dye's before so I have no idea how it works. And I wouldn't want to ruin a good suit jacket. :)

Re: Clothing Dye/Paint
It would be bast to have the jacket made to your specs in the green color, then silkscreen the "?" marks on to it.

Re: Clothing Dye/Paint
I agree with Brin and DT. Also considder that most suit jackets are Dry Clean Only so adding a commersial dye would more than likely not be an option. If my recollection is accurate they are mixed with HOT water to apply and this would probably ruin the jacket.

Re: Clothing Dye/Paint
alot depends on the fiber content of the jacket. most quality suits are dry-clean because the have some wool content in the material. if the jacket is polyester, you can dye it, no problem. keep in mind that the jacket WILL FADE with consecutive washings.
