Re: on average...what did you suit cost to build?
For me it's all work and materials. A lot of work and alot of materials. So I guess the countless hours and materials would add up to my suit being, well, priceless.

Re: on average...what did you suit cost to build?
That would make a great credit card commercial wouldnt it Paul~
LOL!
Well lets see, I would surmise the 1500 range for my current comic suit
200???? I think it cost me 200 for all the stuff I used on my nightwing half statue and its just about done
this type of thread has come up many times and the answers always come to about 1500-3000.00 depending on how accurate you try to make it and how exspensive some of the materials are.....if you went the route of foam latex your going to be even higher
seems like many of the bros have built themselves incredible suits for the 15 range
but that can rise and fall quickly
and most important is that it doesnt matter
cause who builds just one suit.........nobody!
so parts of one suit usually travel over into the next suit, some parts get traded away to other parts and so on
it all comes down to you will spend whatever you can and whatever it takes to make a costume you love and are proud of
could be 200, could be 20,000 if you can lay your hands on a studio suit
just build em and enjoy em!!

I put together this batsuit, the Joker costume, and all the goons for less than $400 about 3 years ago.

Re: on average...what did you suit cost to build?
Wait, Jerry you said "250 for a belt"?? Man, does this belt actually clip in the front and have batarangs that can attach to it or something? I've never heard of a movie style belt being that much. :dropjaw
It all depends on how accurate and nice you want your suit. I make my own stuff obviously, but I spent thousands on experimenting alone, so I would say it cost me about 3 thosuand dollars to have my full suit...but now that I have all the molds, it costs me less the 200 to make a whole suit...but it takes me about a week of solid working to finish 1.

Re: on average...what did you suit cost to build?
All I can say is I spent alot :geez
But at the same time I had alot of fun doing
it and it keeps me out of trouble.
Oh sure... I have to make the house payment "first"... I don't know where my wife gets her priorities :nahnah
In fact, I'm still trying to perfect my version of the PERFECT Batsuit :signal

Re: on average...what did you suit cost to build?
Well my first "High end" suit set me back like $2400 but others not quite as much. (heck with 13 of them I'ld have suits and no cave to store them in if they all costed that much) :doh
