Scary Scarecrow Pic
OK, on the superherohype forums there is a new pic going around of The Scarecrow. The mask is different, it could be a concept, but rumour has it that this was the stage 2 (fear toxin induced) Scarecrow that was cut from the film because it was deemed too scary for kids.
Another piece of information that may back up this information is from Batman-On-Film.
"I looked for it each time I’ve seen BATMAN BEGINS, but there is not a shot of “Stage 2 Scarecrow” anywhere in the film. I’m curious as to why those scenes did not make the final cut. Trust me, it was a really disturbing mask. Sort of a dripping, melted, skin look. Perhaps we’ll get a look at the finished product in the DVD… "

Please bare in mind that the original poster took done the pic, but it was uploaded again by another poster who'd saved it before it was originally taken down. Superherohype decide to delete the thread on the SHH forums for fear of legal issues with Warner Bros or get complaints from Warner Bros then please feel free to delete or close this thread.
But as Batman fanatics and costume makers, i thought this would interest you. Hope we get a Director's Cut

Re: Scary Scarecrow
That is a pretty freaky mask. It doesn't look like it, but if it had the melting skin look to it, then it was the right decision to cut it out for the kiddies (I wouldn't mind a DC DVD, though). The mask in the movie with the maggots was already disgusting as it was.

Re: Scary Scarecrow
I don't think this was supposed to be a kids movie, so I wish they'd kept it in.

Re: Scary Scarecrow
I disagree. It's a more mature movie, but with a PG-13 rating, it's still aimed for kids. Release an R-rated movie like Bale said in a few interviews, then it'll be aimed at adults.

Re: Scary Scarecrow
speaking of which, any of you guys notice some parents bringing really small kids into the theatre? I figure its tough being a parent and wanting to go see a good movie vs. taking care of your kids but at 4 year old? The poor kid started crying when the scarecrow came on with the freaky voice. Thank God the parent god up with the kid after a few and left the theatre.
I don't know, I just thought that bringing such small kids was irresponsible. just my 2 cents.

Re: Scary Scarecrow
I hope that Nolan puts out a directors cut...
--- Riddle me this, With pointed fangs I sit in wait,
With piercing force I dole out fate,
Over bloodless victims proclaiming my might,
Eternally joining in a single bite.
What am I?

Re: Scary Scarecrow
That would've been awesome. I was SO disappointed with the Scarecrow.

Re: Scary Scarecrow
The mask was used in the shooting of the movie. It is a prosthetic appliance designed by Nick Dudman and his team. It was to be used in scenes where people see the Scarecrow while they're under the effects of fear gas. Whatever the reason, these scenes were cut.

Re: Scary Scarecrow
That looks like what Mattel used for the figure. The figure, as we all know, looks nothing like the scarecrow in the film. It does resemble this one though, and since it was cut early one, Mattel used whatever resources they had. Keep in mind that toys take almost near a year to produce in most cases. This is all stuff people already know but, what the heck-ola.
