Re: Batman Leather Costume back on the workbench. Sketches Added!
Looks like it will be a dark charcoal grey leather. I may just do the second one black at this point....let me see what the grey looks like first. :)
So the ribbed leather will be black, the forearms where the gauntlets are drawn, black, the chest bat black and a small area around the abb's black. All the rest will be dark charcoal grey.... :guitar
Should be pretty sweet when ready. Now I cant wait!

Y'know, somebody will be walking down the street with this jacket on and get freaked out by it. You know what they're gonna look like?
Like this!

Woooops....sorry about that.
Damn....Ho-lee-cow do you guys look alike!!!!
Looking at those 2 Blade pics I guess I can see how I mistook you for this other dude.
Wow...my bad.
Still...get your arse to DC...it's a blast and it's always nice meeting the members in person.
David
It's no biggie. There are not many Blade's out there infact me and the other guy were saying that it seems like me, him and Wesley Snipes are the only Blades out there, lol
Trust me, I see all of the photos of DC plus I have friends that attend so i've really been anxious to make it to ATL.

Funny thing is Al, for about half an hour after I saw the other guy at DC I thought it was you too. It took me a little bit closer of a look to realize that it wasn't you, but I'm glad I did... I almost went up to him and yelled "Hey Al!!!" I'll bet he would have thought I was nuts. :lol
~Tim :batfly
He probably would have just said "no, that's my counterpart from the west coast"
:lol

Tim, you're not the only one to think that! I told Paul that he was Al too. Another case of seperated at birth!!
Then again I guess it is almost like seeing us in the Batsuits.... We all look like the same people at times. It's like "didn't I just see you at the Hyatt???" "Err... wait that wasn't you!!"
:lol
Good point
:lol

David,
Great designs!
Looks like you have drawn influence from the Begins suit, that particular design I think lends itself more to a leather version than the previous suits simply because it's got a machined kind of look.
Trying to replicate the muscle definition from the Panther or 89 would be very hard to accomplish.
The Returns could work though! It would be a little like the Daredevil one.
I agree. I haven't seen it yet but I think this leather version will look more practical than the actual Begins suit.

excuse the photoshop work...I'm not Jay..:)
Dark charcoal grey...with black areas sort of like the comic book.

Re: Batman Leather Costume back on the workbench. Sketches Added!
Thanks Al!!!!
Well....let's hope so. :) I've been making rubber suits for so long now that it's nice to change every once and a while and attempt the 'out of the box' idea.
I still make the rubber muscle suits....but like all things we need a break every once and a while to kind of recharge our batteries.
I've never wanted to limit myself to one theme, character or way of working. Sure some things work while others dont but I'm one of those that'll die trying rather than accept defeat because I'm told it just cant be done.
Costuming in general is what pushes me...and a costume can be made a million different ways. Thanks to the Marvel franchise this whole Leather concept seems to have gotten some attention.
It's officially in the works.....now the wait for the finished prototype.....
