Re: Questions about the Dead End Costume
Tim,
Thanks for the info! :up
Shame the quality isn't so good! I did check their page, and the shaping of the finger tips looked a little square.
I'd love to get my hands on some quality leather Comic Book gloves like the Dead End ones.
--- Hee hee. "Get her." That was your whole plan. I like it; it was scientific.

Re: Questions about the Dead End Costume
If you like thier bodysuit, have them ship it to you with the emblem unattached. Then you can position it where it looks best while you have the suit on, pin it in place, and get it sewn on.
As for the belt, I can sell 'em to you for 12 bucks for anyone who wants one.

Re: Questions about the Dead End Costume
Is there anyone out there who has apllied a latex coating to fabric to make a cape? I'm really intrigued by this concept and was wondering if anyone has some pointers to offer????? :huh

Re: Questions about the Dead End Costume
I know Todd Mello makes his this way, and I think I remember Janty mentioning this at one time as well.

Re: Questions about the Dead End Costume
Tim is correct...one of my capes is from Janty and I believe it's satin coated with latex.
The real '89 "cloak" is 8 separate wool sections coated in rubber, then pushed together and each section was fused together at the seams with the applied rubber. In other words, the sections are not sewn together, but held together by the rubber coating.
So yes, this was done over 16 years ago,so it's not really a new concept or idea. :)
