Re: How do you make a Batmobile?
So once you get the fiberglass pieces, how are you attaching them to the car? And are you putting it ontop of a stripped car frame or ontop of the car with its shell (sorry, dont know the technical name for the metal outside)?

Re: How do you make a Batmobile?
It will be going on top of a stripped car frame. Most likely a stretched 84-86 Vette. I will be enlongating the front of the chassis and moving the engine back with new mounts. That way I don't need to extend the drive shaft and in effect better balance the car with the engine more in the middle.
New steering will have to be fabricated but the front suspension should all stay the same.
Once I have the fiberglass shell I will be putting on a round or square tube frame onto the chassis to attach the shell to. I will have to fabricate mounts on the inside of the fiberglass shell to connect to the tube frame.
I'm starting as soon as it gets a little warmer out (up here in the great white north Toronto) I'll be sure to post progress pics of it. I am building it in my garage. So the first step is building a 2x4 bottom frame that is attached to casters so I can roll it around to work on it in, or out of the garage.
Hopefully I can make it as detailed as possible with some replica pop up machine guns too :dancespot
