Re: Batmobile dimensions

One thing about the dimensions from the "blueprints" (originaly sold back in 92'). Most are not real. I sorta thought it was intentional, but I dunno. Some are. the wheelbase (141") is real. But I have an original copy of the blueprints as published back in 92', And I found them to be a bit "off" in alot of areas.

Young bat is correct; most of the dimensions in the blueprints are intentionally incorrect. 141" wheelbase is correct, even when you compare the four blueprints they contradict each other. The dash panel in the post above is very close but still off by an inch or so. Most people just recite the dimensions posted on the model box, which is close but also, incorrect. Neither of the two cars was delivered with a turbine engine, both cars were small block Chevrolet.
There are a few Jay Ohrberg cars in Museums, your best bet is to contact them for a visit.

Thing is, if you want dimensions for the purpose of building one, angular dimensions will only take you so far. You need to have skills in repoing form from photos. i.e. how would you measure a complex curve? one that changes within inches, or feet. Almost like sculpting a human likeness with measurements, will only take you so far. The key is to understand the "FORM". If you don't understand the form, you're dead in the water.
