Bat Gadgets - Pics
Hey guys,
I just received my camera after a frackin' 4 week wait... so now that it's here I want to show you guys what I've been up to over the past couple months!
First off, my grenades:
They're made from little shaving cream cans! I popped the nozzle off(that sounds bad), gorilla-glued a trimmed and dremelled coupling nut(with a hole drilled for a pull-pin) to the top, and put epoxy putty in the voids around the nut, The pull pin is made from a trimmed cotter pin, and held in place by a small section of steel rod with a spring underneath. The letters are rub-ons and the bat-logo is hand painted.
I've got a smoke grenade, a flash-bang, and a pepper gas grenade there. I'm going to make another one of each.
Now, my grappling hook, for which I am still working out a design for the launcher:
And folded up:
I made this thing out of model rocket parts!
And my arsenal so far:
Very fitting that I should graduate to "Dark Knight" status with a post like this.

Re: I've been a little busy lately...
Well, I'm hoping to get the rang done first. I've been puttying and sanding, and puttying and sanding, and puttying and sanding, to get the edges of the thing *just* right. I'm not quite there yet though. Thats why, in these images, the rang looks the same as before, but close up, it's got nice, neat edges(for the most part) on it.
It looks like a put a duplicate picture of the hook in, when I meant to put in a different one. So here goes:
Another thing(s) I've been working on are gauntlet fins, so here are a couple pics.
I might glue those fins directly onto a strip of velcro, and plasti-dip it(but not the business side of the velcro, of course), for direct attachment to a strip of it on those riot control/cell extraction gauntlets I mentioned in another thread(unless someone here has a better idea). I don't want to cut into those gauntlets, they look way too nice.
And that's what I got done for now. :)
I'm going to paint the grappling hook, and the grappling gun itself, chrome. Give it a nice, mirror finish(if possible). With the hook, I'm trying to make it look as much like the "Hush" grappling hook and gun as possible. So far so good.
Thanks guys!

Re: I've been a little busy lately...
Make yourself a stationary base for those fins for stability, then Velcro the whole shebang onto your gloves.
BTW...I'm getting a pair of those gloves, thanks for the link.:wink
