Leather Cowl - Pics
Ok, so per the drawings/concepts I posted a few weeks ago for an updated leather cowl to go with my proposed bat-harness...this is the result. I used the same method as before, creating a duct tape head form and patterning off of that, except this time, the face, ears and forehead ductape form is inside the cowl to keep its rigid shape. I am still in search of the proper lenses for the eyes, which I feel will really complete the look. All in all, I am really happy with my second attempt at a leather cowl and feel as though it is an improvement over the first. So here it is, a slightly different pattern than the first cowl, and with long ears this time. Hope you like...

Nice job + great duct tape engineering.
It's extra satisfying anytime you have a new custom piece that fits perfectly.
Today I finally found a thick plastic (face only) mask that fits my eyes and nose perfectly, for my '66 cowl project.

JBrown, I'm a big fan of your stuff. It's like you pull your suits right out of my imagination. You're as crafty with your hands as I try to be. It's like that episode of Futurama where Fry get's Robot Satan's hands and can finally create the music he hears in his head. (TANGENT!) Anyway, I personally liked the shorter ears, but always pleased to see new ideas. Never stop.
