Re: Azbats costume help
Looks great so far. My opinion is go for the helmet rather than the rubber cowl approach. The story is really about the armor and it's effect on Jean-Paul so the helmet is the most true. I can't wait to see this thing finished

Re: Azbats costume help
Thanks, I have been leaning more towards the helmet idea more and more. I just have to figure out how to go about it and get my supplies ordered.

Re: Azbats costume help
Yes, I have thought about doing that. but I don't have a vacuform machine to use at the moment. I do have a molding and casting handbook that shows how you can make one though.

Re: Azbats costume help
That looks good man,
I was re-reading my Knightfall series recently and I noticed something, his suit changes like 3/4s of the way through, he starts out looking ,like the picture you posted then his helmet changes and he looses the cape and gets that long ammo belt from his back to the gauntlets.
Anyways the version you are making looks better IMO than the second version
he starts like this
and ends up like this
I mean the red happens when the dark blue paint burns off.
Anyways just something that I had noticed

I ignore mine.

Re: Azbats costume help
Thanks , I appreciate it. Yes ,I did notice the change as the series continued. The cape changed in the comics because Jean Paul decided he wanted the cape to become a weapon in itself . I have a few individual comics of various titles while Jean Paul Valley was batman. I started originally with one where the bat symbol ran across the face up to the ears on the cowl . It kind of had the spawn look to it, but I discarded that idea and went back and started from scratch and attempted the look of the second costume that he had. I eventually abandoned it for the original look. I haven't decided if I want to stick with the blue , silver and gold look or try black and silver.

Re: Azbats costume help
Dude, the Azbats costume changes every freeking drawing! Hahaha. Try to find some consistent reference for the gauntlets. ITS HARD! Same with the helmet. I recently found some drawings that look like the current Red Hood, but blue and with horns! The only constant is that it ALWAYS looks sweet!

Re: Azbats costume help
I know it was constantly changing throughout the entire run of the Jean Paul Valley/ Batman storyline...lol Still looks awesome. If you can please send me any other pics you have of your finished outfit. Any help will be greatly appreciated . I wish the could introduce the character in one of the video games. That would be sweet.
