'89 Boot Armor - Pics
I made one of these today, I think it turned out pretty well to be honest. Better than my expectations! Let me know what you think:

Haha, Its thin corrugated cardboard that was shaped to a nice curve with hot glue, then i covered it all with leather and stuck it down tight with superglue then reinforced the back with hot glue. And the best thing is, they cost me absolutely nothing!!! the leather has been dyed from a pale green to a purpli-ish black, I think ill give them a coat of watered down acrylic when they're both finished to take away the purple.
I have made the other one but it isnt covered with leather yet, if you'd like to see pics of the cardboard template just let me know.

Thinned down Tamiya flat black worked well for me,but I'm sure any decent acrylic will do.
