Re: Alternative to PlastiDip and undersuit idea

Wanted to share with anyone following this thread that I've been advised by one of the Lords of Latex that Rustoleum is NOT a good idea:

"DON'T USE RUSTOLEUM!! LOL! Trust me, you're going to ruin your suit. It will crack and peel and never come off..unless you seriously soak it with paint thinner.. which will ruin the latex. Here is the best way to paint latex and it is permanent, dries quickly and bonds to the latex...with no smell. Pick up naptha, rubber cement, black ink pigment (such as black acrylic paint) and a foam brush (all found at Home Depot). Pour some contact cement into a plastic cup, then pour in some black ink pigment, followed by filling the cup half way with naptha. Mix the hell out of it, until it is nice and watery, then use your foam brush to paint over the whole latex suit, until it is a uniform black. It'll take some trial and error, but it's fairly simple to do and will give you a perfect, satin finish that won't come off.. because rubber cement has latex in it and fuses to the latex armor. You can post this if you want, to help others not make the same mistakes."
