Re: UnderAmour Skull Cap + Cowl

in thin layers it shouldn't... but remember you've got a full latex mask over your head, so you're actually going to be hotter than those guys get.

Another thing you might want to consider is that patroleum products can, over time, break down latex... so be careful using it with a latex cowl. I don't thhink you'd notice any problems right away, but the patroleum can sink into your cowl and cause the natural oils in the rubber to start to seperate into what will look like dry rot.

That's one of the reasons they tell you not to use oil based lubes with condoms.:wink

Edit: That was my PSA of the day... hehehe

Might want to ask around a bit, I'm not certain if it affects urethane as bad as latex, but I wouldn't want to take chances.

Hopefully someone that knows more about urethane and its possible reactions will chime in on this.

Actually, the vaseline shouldn't bother the urethane since it's not a natural rubber.
But it will feel icky. :eyes

Hmmm.... I use that UnderArmor skull cap with my Panther cowl all the time without problems. You won't get a much more narrow neck opening and tight fitting cowl than the Panther. I find that it, along with the KY, actually reduces the friction even more when putting the cowl on. Less hair lost in the process... It really does help with controlling the sweat as well. All I can say is try it and see if it works for you. Maybe if Brin had used a skull cap all these years, he'd still have hair! :wink :wink :p :p :p :lol

For those bros who are long-haired, freaky-people like myself, I use a balaclava that goes down to my neck and it works just fine for me.

The problem with the BA cowl is that the kneck area is cast really thick so its kinda hard to stretch it as you put it on ...when I try put my cowl on with the skull cap on they grip onto each other and I have no chance of putting them on.

I have tried talc and also water when puting on my cowl without the skull cap ...even then its a struggle and always leaves me with bruises on my face. I dont even have a big head lol 22.5"
I went out today and purchased some KY Jelly...well I got the mrs to buy it haha
