Choosing Emblem Size

I found this symbol. For you guys who are the experts, what is the distance from bottom wing tip to tip? I just want to get the right measurements. Thanks.

Re: Chest symbol size?

What costume are you using it for?

I made mine at 14" from wingtip to wingtip and (I want to say) 5-6" from top to bottom.

Oh man that's a tough one! I printed mine on legal size paper several times with different sizes until several looked good, then I cut one of each out, taped it to my chest and posted the pics here for comparison and suggestions on which to go with. I know that from wing to wing is was as long as the paper, but from head to tail I had to play with it until it fit on the paper.

I pretty much did that same thing as Hippie. My only thing was I couldn't print it up on a 81/2x11 to the size I wanted. So I printed it anyway on a regular sheet then went to Kinkos and had it enlarged to different sizes. I printed it up several times, each a different size and cut each logo out then held it up to my suit to see what size was better.

It took me a bit too to decide on which size I wanted, I just drew them and taped them to my suit to see which looked best
