Re: TDK Gauntlet Sculpt WIP
I've just used the pics that we've all seen for reference. I've studied them pretty hard, lol.
Cool idea zmanz!

Re: TDK Gauntlet Sculpt WIP
Thanks JBrown. Here, for the heck of it, and because I seem to be avoiding my homeworks at all cost (no not high school, masters degree), I gave the folding fin another shot, using the exact proportions of the pics JBrown took, and the picture of a hinge I found:
When folded, the hinge would be between the fins and wouldn't show. By the way JBrown, if you don't take this route its cool, I just wanted to show this idea I had.

Re: TDK Gauntlet Sculpt WIP
Looks like a plan for a folding rang, anyone fancy taking that on :huh :up I've been studying the fin pictures and think your right. and considering they are supposed to shoot off, maybe the centre or outer fires off leaving a fin in place??? :huh :huh :huh :huh

Re: TDK Gauntlet Sculpt WIP
thanks! wow, haven't been on this thread for a while! Now that we see from the movie pics what they look like, I don't think this design will be the one used in the movie. But I think the idea is still valid and doable.

Re: TDK Gauntlet Sculpt WIP
Sorry about the :hijack , but Zmanz, I would like to see you pursue something with your folding fin idea. Even if not for TDK, I still think they are an awesome idea and would complement a good set of gauntlets or even a great belt accessory.
Sorry Jon...Now back to you.
Any more updates on your project Jon?
:cheers

Re: TDK Gauntlet Sculpt WIP
Well, my project now feels diminished but it will live on!
Nice work with that sculpt, I love the detail. It is more accurate than mine, and less bulky. I like it.

Re: TDK Gauntlet Sculpt WIP
Wow, now here's a thread I haven't seen in a while! It would be great if JBrown pursued this project, he's an accomplished artist. But like I've stated in another thread, Pollyestergrim is also making some kick ass TDK gauntlets, can't wait to see those.
