Putting On a Wetsuit
Just out of curiosity, how hard should it be to put on a wetsuit? I got the Bodyglove .5mm suit in the mail the other day and when I got home from work, I decided to try it on. Man... it was a !@#$ to get on. :beatup
It felt like it fit good once I got it on, but I am worried that once I glue my armor down, when I try to take the thing off it will rip my armor.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Re: Putting on a wetsuit...
Tripp,
It wasn't too hard to get my suit on. A bit of work, yes. It will be more work once the armor is on, especially in the legs.
My biggest problem is in taking the suit off. Once I sweat a bit, it's a pain and a half to get off. You can't just peel it off once the armor's on. My wife has to help me get out every single time.

Re: Putting on a wetsuit...
:grumble That sucks. My wife want nothing to do with my costuming (or me for that matter) so I am guessing I cant count on her help.
Have you tried putting on something like Under Armor first and then the wetsuit? I just wonder if laying would help at all.
Thanks for the response.

Re: Putting on a wetsuit...
Hey Tripp,
I have the same wetsuit, I use UnderArmor under my wetsuit, it does help. Bit of a pain, but if you are coordinated, you can manipulate it alot easier than bare skin. I am conerned with tearing the armor too, as it has a slight bit, but I put extra glue around the area the first time to try to stop it, since then it hasn't tore any more...we're talkin a small tear nothing major...Of course my armor is Urethane which is a SOB to glue, I'm thinkin of ordering some of Smooth-On's URE-Bond Urethane Adhesive to try in areas were it comes loose...

Re: Putting on a wetsuit...
And there ya' go... Dive-skins are worn underneath the thicker thermal dive-suits, to make it easier to get on. It also helps in the removal and for wearing in warmer waters, to keep buggies and critters off of you as well.
You can get Under Armour or you can get a simple one piece, at a cheap price. You can even get whatever some places may have on clearence (flourescent green), as long as it fits.
For my 7.5mm wetsuit (which I use for actually diving in the Northeast), I have a Sherwood Gold, which has a slick gold colored interior, which illiminates the need for a dive-skin.

Not tonight I'm not. :lol It's on my lap right now, as I'm explaining gravity to the boy, as we're watching Apollo 13. :ohwell It's not going so well, so I'm "escaping" during the moments he's not asking questions.
I'm bored and DYING for Heroes to start.
Fu*k off. :nahnah
