'89 - Returns Costume Vault
Hey friends,
I have been debating for like two full years wether to make a replica of the Bat-Costume Vault from Batman 89 or Batman Returns.
It is my dream, to have that on display and I noticed that several people have full and beautiful replicas of the Batman Begins Costume Closet. I am impressed.
So I had a couple of questions.
1.) Has anyone done a full sized replica of either the Batman 89 or Batman Returns Bat-Costume Vault? If so, are they members and do they have photos we can view?
2.) How much do you think it might cost to replica this if I use cheaper materials like wood, plaster, etc etc.....
3.) I am ready ready ready to get started on this project. Anyone have any other suggestions that will help me?
Thanks gang. I love this forum. Between you guys here and the RPF, I feel so loved! Thanks for your continued Help with all things Batman!

Re: Batman 89 (or Returns) Bat-Costume Vault Question
I do believe someone did do a 89 vault. Do a search, the thread may still be on here somewhere.

Re: Batman 89 (or Returns) Bat-Costume Vault Question
I have thought of doing a scaled down vault door for the area that leads to the space under my basement stairs.
Might still do it, actually.
You could always call it a "panic room" when you go to sell the house.

Re: Batman 89 (or Returns) Bat-Costume Vault Question
I did several searches. I didn't come up with anything that anyone else had started on a 89 or Returns Bat-Costume Vault. I may not be searching for the right words....... LOL
I am sure that someone else at some point made a replica of the 89 or Returns Batsuit Vault though.
If I am the first one though, then I take FULL CREDIT for the idea! :rollin :rollin :rollin

Re: Batman 89 (or Returns) Bat-Costume Vault Question
Hi Chuck I would love to build something like that, but the wife would never go for it :whack My idea was to do it as cheaply as possible and start by obtaining as many pics of the vault as possible, showing the various angles. I would then see if any part looked like something I could buy easily or obtain from the local scrapyard. And would constantly be keeping my eyes open for likely items I could scrounge :up
But its a dream until I win the lottery :ohwell and then I would have a complete under house Batcave built, complete with Batmobiles :bounce
:cheers Colin
